Much thanks to Tim Harper of RPS, who did an informational session this week, displaying the courses that are currently offered at Resiliency Prep. Tim went over the concept of the "Hybrid' courses and there was a healthy question and answer session, where the merits and shortcomings of the teaching method were discussed. Now, we need more teachers to jump on board to help Durfee offer its students another exciting way to learn!
The list of teachers with web pages continues to grow, as dept. heads have been setting up trainings with me for their staff during common planning periods. One of the nicer efforts among the new pages is that of Nicole Solow. Check it out! Nice work Nicole!
Another busy spot has been the new Social Studies computer lab. Judging by the calendar Matt Hall has shared with me, the staff of the department is making full use of the facilities now that they have their own location. Kudos to Dept. Head Sue Horvitz and Matt for making sure the department is making the most of the opportunity.
